As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in this transformation, building a scalable and robust data platform that can handle our growing data needs and enable us to stay ahead of the curve. The Data Engineer will support our software developers, database architects, data analysts and data scientists by ensuring that optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of optimizing or even re-designing our company's data architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design our core data platform (data warehouse or lakehouse), considering scalability, performance, security, and data governance.
• Build and maintain robust and efficient data pipelines (ETL/ELT) to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources.
• Leverage AWS or GCP cloud services to build and manage our data infrastructure.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate and streamline infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide support.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data architecture and pipeline development. Demonstrated experience and skills are paramount.
• Deep understanding of data warehousing/lakehouse principles and best practices.
• Extensive experience with AWS or GCP cloud data services.
• Strong proficiency in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using relevant tools (e.g., Spark, Airflow, dbt).
• Excellent SQL skills.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• A passion for data quality and a commitment to continuous learning.

• Fintech experience.
• Experience with real-time data processing technologies.
• Experience leading or mentoring other engineers.
