Defines the value proposition, work plan, resource needs, timeline and budget for client product and / or service delivery projects. Manages resources (that is, capital requirements and human capital) to achieve project objectives on time, within scope and on budget. Manages delivery of multiple project initiatives to enhance services and level of customer support. Responsibilities include planning, direction, prioritization, change management and delivery of projects in a manner aligned with client expectations and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage small to large-sized software implementation projects.
  • Participate in customer pre-sales activities and workshops as requested to define the effort and cost estimation of the project, using predefined tools contributing to economic and technical feasibility and business value to be delivered.
  • Define the project plan, budget, resourcing, and schedule plan for all project activities to have a sound basis for project performance measurement and appropriate levels of customer ‘sign off’.
  • Review and provide estimates for proposed projects to ensure that all project costs are covered.
  • Define, deploy and lead project organization and governance including work streams, roles and responsibilities, advisory board, and steering committees.
  • Ensure project realization in terms of project scope, time, costs, and quality. Manages project performance and risks against the agreed plan, including the change control process, and initiates ' timely 'remedial' actions, contract changes and escalations and ensures the formal handover of the solution, based on prior defined acceptance and handover criteria.
  • Drive and control project P&L including financial forecasting. Reports accurately and timely the status and profitability of the project and escalates delta's to DN and to the customer.
  • Ensure all project stakeholders are timely identified and engaged. Establishes trustworthy relations with key stakeholders on operational level. Ensure that conflicts of interests are resolved timely and according to the target project scope.
  • Choose best fitting DN PM practices and assures compliance across the project.
  • Ensure the management of assigned project resources to the project are in alignment with line management to assure the focus, engagement, and high performance of the project team.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment and teams working in different geographical locations including offshore. Experience in managing virtual teams is a plus.
  • Working in a complex matrix organization and establishing collaboration with internal product and support teams for ensuring the project interests are held at utmost priority.
  • Proficient in project management processes such as scope management, change management, configuration management and release management etc.


Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • Candidates with 3 to 7 years of project management experience..
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certified, or plan to attain certification within the next 6 months.
  • Be from a service delivery background delivering software development projects
  • Software development lifecycle and product lifecycle knowledge
  • Sound knowledge of Waterfall as well as Agile SW development methodologies like SCRUM and Kanban as well as the traditional plan-driven methodologies (e.g. V-model, waterfall)
  • Banking/financial services industry experience is a plus.
  • Banking/financial services industry specific process know-how for technical software implementation processes is an advantage.
  • Customer focused behavior, consultancy, and presentation skills
  • Excellent business writing and communication skills
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills with some basic accounting knowledge
  • Fluent Business English skills (written and spoken) as required to communicate with our associates in other regions.
