Engineer IT Operational Service

Responsible for the global operational support for Databases for IT data center department, including any of Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL. Jobholder provides database platform services for Infineon globally. Main internal customers are FI, IT, DES with a rapid growth of services and data-volumes due to digitalization initiatives throughout IFX.

In your new role you will:

• Operate/Support databases on-premises and in cloud setup.
• Support Infineon’s internal customers with troubleshooting and with projects about databases.
• Support our automated IT processes.
• Support our self-service platforms.
• Collaborate within the global team and with partnering teams from other areas.
• Perform health checks on the databases to ensure databases are in good health status.
• Provide 24*7 support (on a rotation basis, including public holidays or when required).
  
  

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Development (or other IT education with working experience).
• Experience with databases (SQL - Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge in software development with web technologies (e.g. python, Shell, PHP, javascript, REST).
• Experience with Unix/Linux, advantage: Openshift or Kubernetes.
• Good communication skills – both written and verbal in English.
• Remark: Willing to travel between Nonthaburi & Samut Prakan.
