Job Description Overview

As the Senior Software Engineering Manager of Iron Software, you will be a technical and strategic leader in our Software Engineering team. The Senior Software Engineering Manager will be responsible for driving technological advancements, ensuring alignment with business goals, and maintaining our competitive edge. This role requires a strong technical background with extensive proven experience in software development and management.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience developing and managing Component Companies.
• Expert understanding of .NET and C++
• 6+ years of experience in software development
• 4+ years of experience in managing developers and projects
• Expert with Git, DevOps, and Developer working styles.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Software Engineering or related field.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience developing and managing Component Companies.
• Strong understanding of several mainstream Development frameworks.
• Agile software development process experience using Jira.
• In-depth knowledge of PDF internals, Office XML, and File Conversion.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Vision Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s technology strategy to align with business goals.
• Drive the product vision, ensuring alignment with market needs and business strategy.
• Identify and integrate cutting-edge technologies to maintain competitive advantage.
• Lead the ideation and implementation of the development of our technology roadmap.

Mentorship and Team Development Responsibilities

• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior to lead developers and managers, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Be a reliable resource for the team, offering guidance and expertise when needed.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the technology team.
• Prioritize and manage the execution of engineering projects, ensuring clear deadlines.
• Align project assignments with the vision to determine total business value.
• Ensure the timely delivery of projects and the resolution of escalated issues.

Technical Leadership Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and implementation of APIs from a business perspective.
• Work closely with software engineers to improve products by fixing reported bugs and implementing new features.
• Ensure the efficient deployment and use of .NET products.

Stakeholder Engagement Responsibilities

• Act as a key stakeholder in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with other executives to ensure technology alignment with strategy.

Reporting:

• Reports directly to the CEO.
