As the Head of Development you will lead the company's technical direction and oversee all aspects of our technical operations. You will work closely with our executive team to define and execute our product roadmap, lead the development of our software platforms, and ensure the successful delivery of our products to market. You will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and other technical staff, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure the development of a high-performing team.
Responsibilities :
- Define the technical vision and strategy for the company, and ensure alignment with business objectives and market opportunities
- Lead the development and execution of our product roadmap, ensuring that our technology solutions are innovative, scalable, and meet the needs of our customers
- Manage a team of engineers and other technical staff, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure the development of a high-performing team
- Work closely with our product, sales, data, and marketing teams to understand customer needs and market trends and translate them into technical requirements and solutions
- Identify and evaluate new technologies and tools that can enhance our products and improve our processes
- Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of our software platforms, and implement best practices for software development and testing
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors as necessary to deliver on our product roadmap and technology objectives
- Manage the technology budget and resources, ensuring that we are using our resources effectively and efficiently
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field; a master's degree is preferred
- At least 7 years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing technology strategies that drive business growth and innovation
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, software architecture, and emerging technologies
- Experience managing and leading teams of engineers and technical staff
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and creatively
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
