Summary of Role:

The Intermediate Designer acts as SOHO Hospitality team member under the direction of the Senior Designer, with limited oversight. The Intermediate Designer is a team member in the design of a project from the definition and delivery of the design, from conceptualization, through development, coordination, documentation, and execution in the field. On smaller projects, the intermediate designer may be the lead designer working directly with the Project Manager and/or Principal in Charge.

Design Job Description:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited
• Over 6+ years of post-graduate design experience with significant experience in high-end, conceptually driven interior design.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign)
• Strong knowledge of FF&E, materials, furnishings, standards, and specifications
• Demonstrate strong conceptual approach to design and persuasive presentation skills
• Excellent teamwork skills. Ability to work collaboratively with design directors and creative managing directors across the firm
• Conceptual design presentations which include mood board, 3D modeling, photoshop renderings, CAD drawings, image research, material selections, FF&E selections, and other job-related duties as assigned
• Perform construction administration services including RFI responses, submittal reviews, field reports, punch list reviews and interpreting the contract documents to ensure the design intent is met.
• Work closely with your design team and studio at large, to promote a culture of design excellence and creativity.
• As part of the team, prepare complete designs to meet the clients program, quality objectives, project constraints as well as SOHO brand of design, with limited supervision required.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, assisting them in their professional growth and development.
• Proficient knowledge concerning ergonomic principles and health safety considerations within the context of F&B design.
• Excellent knowledge of hospitality design.
• Reviewing all documents to ensure they incorporate the design intent.
• Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Attend site meetings and site inspection.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior design, or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of interior design experience (hospitality & F&B)
• Experienced in handling projects in all design phases
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Handsketch, and other 3D modeling software.
• Attention to detail
• Analytical skills and Communication skills
• Creativity and Flexibility and Ability to work in a team environment
• Time-management skills and deadline-oriented
• Compulsory to be proficient in English and Thai – both in reading and writing
